Hi there,

I am collecting electronics for the build of a trx4 sport kit.

As newbie I selected most of the stuff based on other peoples reviews more than i can based on my own experience. So I got a radio, servo and ESC based on RC-review's YT-channel and cross checked with info I found on this forum. The 20kg servo happened to be the same servo as I use on my Barrage gen2 for a while now. Ordered the HB1080 ESC and the FlySky gt3b radio.

I have ordered a 12T motor and 9t pinion combination on AliExpress. Basically selected the motor based of the amount of orders, so how many they have sold. Now wondering if I shouldn't have been better off choosing for a 27t or 35t with a pionion with more teeth. Is there is an ideal or recommanded motor turn and pinion teeth combination? What do you guys use?

Regards from Belgium.
Bas

No, you want the 21t. 12t is for speed. Run the 21t on 3s lipo.

I agree with max-d. I run my HH trailmaster 21t on 3s n it runs great, doesnt get hot, n i have enuf wheelspeed to hop a obstacle if needed

Thanks. 21T it will be. And what would you advise in regard to the pinion? Doese the 9 teeth suffice that I ordered, or better go with one with more teeth?
