TRX4 Sport, help!!!

Installed a Hobby Wing 1080 esc and bought a cheap Fly Sky radio with lcd screen including receiver ($40), ran it all day today and everything is perfect. Bonus that extra receivers are $10(Traxxas are $50 for the TQi I was using) and you can program 10 different models into it. Endless really simple adjustability on both the 1080 esc and the Fly Sky, wish I would’ve done this from the get go. I love the TRX4 Sport but if I ever bought another one I’d definitely get the kit to eliminate Traxxas electronics. JMHO

I have my eye on the Flysky GT5 for my radio if I decide on the Sport kit Build. The only thing I don’t like about the builders kit is the Traxxas remote and servos I already want to replace before buying. I haven’t had bad luck I would just like to choose my electronics.
Cool videos!

I’d go for the kit. Once you eliminate all the Traxxas electronics, you’ll absolutely love the truck. The hobbywing 1080 is $42 and the fly sky radio is $40-$50, both of them are a steal. You’ll love the adjustability on both! Also never had a problem with the cheap ($18?) 20kg waterproof servo I got off Amazon since making the change to the hobby wing. Over 2x the power of the stock servo.

This is probably what I will do.
