I want to add lights to my Defender, just basic front and rear and the Traxxas $20.00 kit seems very nice and affordable, fit will be perfect and a simple wire connector will plug right into my HeyOk wireless winch controller.
ONLY thing is can someone post a night time photo of the traxxas lights in action? I want to use my defender at night time so I need the lights (headlights actually) to work

Hi. Traxxas lights require 3V to work. They connect to the Traxxas 8028 power supply that regulates voltage from the battery to 3V. I'm not familiar with the HeyOK system, but just a heads up that they might not be compatible.

They wotk at night, but don't expect to turn it into day. Should be OK to see a couple of meters in front of the car, but that's about it. I've installed them in 2 different bodys. The Camel Trophy one has painted headlights yellow, so the color is more dull. Hope it helps.

Thank you! I had no idea the traxxas stuff only runs on 3V...the heyOK gives power direct from the battery, either 2s or 3s
