I have a set of Traxxas big bore shocks on my AX10 Eclipse PN-tra2660 3.5" and was wondering what springs will fit on these shocks besides the MiniT springs?

The 2.75" springs. The golds are very popular and I would totally recommend trying out the Losi Blacks! Certainly lots of people use stiffer springs, but I would hesitate to recommend anything stiffer than the golds (or even the golds for that matter).

I think the best feature of the 2660's is the fact that you can run the smaller Mini-T springs. For front shocks, I don't like having springs on the outsides of my shocks where tires can rub. Are you looking for different spring rates? The Mini-T's come in front and rear sets with 3 rates per pack.

Yes, I want to have a few different spring rates to play around with. I have the MiniT fronts now. Will the miniT's work with the weight of a tuber (TCS Eclipse)?

As the spring compresses it gets stiffer and stiffer, when you approach bottoming out the springs the truck gets a little bit weird. It was suggested to me to try a full size spring in the rear and I really appreciate the difference in the rigs ability to keep driving straight over things. I'm of course comparing Losi blacks to mini T silvers. I felt the golds were more predictable than the silvers, but generally too stiff for my liking/rig/conditions. The blacks are great. I'm not quite sure about the increasing rate on the front as I haven't played with full size vs. mini T springs in the .8 lb/in category.

I agree. This was the main reason i am looking for full size springs for the 2660's that will work.

Anybody know the part number of the Losi blacks right off?

Are the traxxis big bores a better option than the losi comps because of the options out there for them or do they just work better?

I run the Traxxas Shocks on all of my rigs. I feel they are the best on the market to date. Their are others who may say the Losi 's are. Also there are others who use a combonation of both. Traxxas out front and Losi out back.
One other side note here. For all of the years I have run the Traxxas shocks I have never had a "Leaker". I have heard though others do experience "Leakers" on the Losi product.

Losi LOSA5143 2.75 Spring 1.2 Rate, Black

I am running losi blacks out back and mini t front pinks on 2660's all around

I was struggling to get the right spring rate with the mini t springs out back and the losi golds didn't feel right either. The blacks are working good with the ~ 5lb 4oz setup right now.

Is the best ones to use the 2660's or is it the other ones that come in an 8 pack? (can't remember the part number).

So I don't want 4" shocks? Or is there not enough diffence between the 3.5" and the 4"? I'm going for a rock bouncing/crawler on my ax10. And the stock shocks are way to stiff so I thought about going to a softer spring rate but I want a better shock too. I was wondering which one of the big bores was a better choice. I'm not worried about looking scale either.

Morpheus is on the money with those numbers. But be careful, I ordered a set of the 2661's from tower and eneded up getting something that looked like it was packaged in the 1980's...

Also, if you want more springs to play with, the RC18 rear springs fit perfectly. The rears would be ideal for the 3.5" big bores, work with a small gap on my 3.75", but will definately need to be limited to be used on a 4" shock.
The funny part is the RC18 spring rates are right between those of the losi mini-t springs. So you can have 6 different spring rates if you really want them..

I have both not, just to try on my berg and see what happens. I like the mini-t springs on my XR, but it seems like some times they are either too stiff or too soft. So we are trying the in-betweens..

If I went with a Fastback II chassis, I assume the 4inchers would be the best choice? I'm looking to build a sportsman rig.
