Transmission decision

Not sure what I should do? Buy a stock Wraith trans? Or buy the Hot Racing AX10 all metal trans? What would you guys recommend? Both come pre-assembled yet the Hot Racing has all metal gears. It's a difference of about $45 stock Wraith vs Hot Racing

I have bought two of the extended output versions of that HR transmission. No issues whatsoever and an easy bulletproof drop in. I did replace the metal spur with plastic 32p spurs. RC4WD sells high tooth count 32p spurs for their 2-speed SCX trans that fit.

The version you posted is cheaper on RPP, when in stock. Hot Racing HT 57T Steel Full Metal Locked Transmission SCX10

Def go with the HR. After you get done upgrading the stock wraith transmission, you'll realize you really just built the hr trans in a more expensive way.

Thanks for the input fella's. I will be using the HR trans for my build. Parts have been coming in little by little. Can't wait to post the finished product.

I'm looking at the MIP and JunFac universals for my build. Other than price difference can anyone chime in on which one of the two is stronger for my build? I'll be running a SV3 3800kV w/ the Hot Racing all metal gear trans with unlocked diffs front and rear.
