I've been searching around for some decent tow straps, I couldn't find any that jumped off the page on the ol' inter webs, so I made my own. I started with some shoe strings (as I saw in here) but I didn't like how much elasticity they had. I tried taking in internal "stuff" out and that didn't work so great. So, I stumbled over some paracord at work that was unraveled and it seemed perfect for what I was looking for, except for how round it was.
So I bought some cord, did some trial and error.... and came up with these. I wasn't 100% sure how strong the "loops" would be so I resorted to overkill,

Looks great, bought or made is fine! I've won a couple nice straps at comps and GTG with laser cut steel hook and all and they all work fine if made well. :)

Nice job on the tow straps.
I have both home made from round black shoe laces and store bought ARB straps.
The ARB straps really look great but both will get the job done when/if needed.

To get the roundness out of the paracord pull the guts out then hit the outer casing with an iron before you stitch up your loops
