Top Everest 10 mods and upgrades

Went all metal also. All parts are still easily available and cheap. Keep the plastic drive shafts and adjust the slipper as extra insurance.

My drive shafts will probably go next as they are already pretty sloppy. But I'm going to run them until the break. I have broken several front axles though. I ended up buying some cheap replacement ones and swap them when/if they break.

Got the metal locker, not super impressed. Where the axles slide into the carrier it is taller than the axle so it can wiggle a little back and forth. Seems to be holding fine but I haven't tested it yet

Wrap the shaft in Teflon and JB weld on the inside to take up some slack. The few different ones I’ve seen have some slop, others were fairly tight. At the prices and different variations expect to have a slightly different specifications for ease of compatibility.

for the price you payed for that locker you could have gotten a scx10.2 axle

dont waist your money on upgrading with redcat parts the e10 is a clone of the axial ax10 so its a easy upgrade to axial parts and all the aftermarket goodness that goes along with it

and just for your information almost every locker no matter the brand or what rig it was made for will have slop were the axle shafts meet the locker

about 10 years ago they made a locker that had set screws to take up the slack but it dident last
