Hey guys, I built up the kit version SCX10iii right when it came out and for a multitude of reasons haven't used it much (work etc). When my son and I go out crawling I usually just bring my TRX. I'm trying to decide if I should keep it or maybe sell but in the meantime, what are some of the top mods\tips to get this thing crawling good. It seems kind of top heavy as is. I already added some Samix +6mm wheel spacers.

Take the cage out of the interior. That will help some with the weight up high.

I'll give that a shot. I also saw that some people are cutting the tops off of the stock jeep body.

If you like that look.

I think just pulling the cage or the whole interior gives a better benefit.

I tossed on some aluminum wheels. That helped me a ton on stuff that was rolling me over.

Thought about this as well but I didn't want to throw a ton of money at it if I decide not to keep it. Maybe i'll throw some weight in the front wheels to see how it does. I guess worst case I could use the wheels on something else "thumbsup"

Definitely get some wheels that you'd hang on to.

Enjoy!

Ha, I'm already looking at wheels on amain. If the black rhino RC4WD wheels were in stock I think they would be on their way to me already :)

I honestly think wheels are the best part of the crawler scene. From both the cool options to the no glue BS.

When my SCT tires needs swapped, I will be going to bead lock wheels there also.

Agreed. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone, I think i'm going to sell it regardless. Not sure what I'll get instead.....
