Throwing away $100 on morbid curiosity build

I added all the small detail items. The windshield wipers and the fender flares are made from a rubbery material so I'm not sure if I can get a paint to stick to weather them. I mounted the body with the included screw in mounting posts. I plan on fabricating some Velcro attachments for the body but this at least gets the body mounted so I could give it a test drive.

I like the cheap G-Made wheel I bought for the spare tire more than the old crappy Axial beadlocks I have on it. I ordered some no name Chinese steel wheels off of Amazon to replace the axial beadlocks.

On the things to do is to make some inner fenders, rock sliders, and a panel to fill in the opening in the back. I think I'm going to keep the rear mounted battery for now because I'm lazy and trying to minimize the fabrication I need to do.

I'd like a stinger to go on the front. Think I'll browse Amazon today looking for something I can use.

One of those things that really buds me is how I got a little too much epoxy in a couple of areas mounting the windows. Probably not something anyone would ever notice but me but stuff like that bugs the perfectionist in me.

At Max flex. Right now it's limited because of spring stiffness. I would like it to be a little softer and have more droop at rest. This is the point where the rear wheel lifts off the ground in the back. I have enough articulation to smush the front tire into the wheel well. I'd like for it to be soft enough to tuck into the wheel well at full flex and add some bump stops to limit travel from there. The tires are 4.75 I think I want something a little smaller in diameter so I can drop the body a bit, get more flex, and tuck the wheels into the wheel well a little better without rubbing.
 
I measured my droop using some Losi 3.4 rate springs so I could get a baseline of what springs I need. I was drooping at 17% with those springs. I wanted something closer to 1.5 spring rate which should get me close to 40%. I made a post and found the Element Senduro springs would fit, but someone mentions SCX10 springs would do in a pinch. I remembered my son's MaxStone came with some springs that were similar diamter as the SXC10 but longer. I originally thought they would be too small and they could stand to be a little larger in diameter but with a little torch action I got them to work. I cut them to size and use a torch to flatten the ends and widen them a hair so they fit in the cups. Now I'm at 41% droop and the truck drive MUCH better while crawling.

I lowered the body about 8mm and it's just about perfect now.

I wanted a gas can so I ordered a cheap pack of scale accessories from Amazon. $9.99 shipped next day. But... the jack was broken in half when I got it. Emailed the seller to see if I could get a replacement or if I needed to initiate a return. Just is just laying on top not it's final position. I didn't mount it since it was broken.

Looking great!

Use sandpaper or a scouring pad to rough up the finish on the fender flares, they'll match up to the rest nicely and hold dirt when you end up running it out on the trails...

The crowning touch was your adding the filler panels behind the doors below the B-pillars, it's the only thing I disliked about this body when they released it!
