Pebble Pounder
So, I have rock gardens around the house I was contemplating getting rid of, but I bought an SCX24 Deadbolt instead!!
Having a blast immediately, I decided it needed some bling in the form of heavy beadlocks and sticky tires.. Wow, even cooler!
Soon discovered the stock servo/saver wasn't going to cut it - E-max kit it is!
As long as that's getting torn apart, might as well go with hi-clearance arms and metal steering links right? Wow, I can actually drive this thing now!
But wait - been watching vids showing the slow crawl capabilities with motor/esc upgrades. Must. Have. Now. Hello Furitek Micro Komodo/Lizard Pro!!
So, with this newfound power and control, I can pull bigger tires, and 62mm Mudders went on. Dayum! This thing's really starting to work!
Getting critical now, I notice some suspension "jacking" itself up when turning tight or when front tires are against an obstacle and rears are still pushing. Overdrive gears in the front all but eliminated that, plus gave greater climbing ability by keeping the front lower as it pulls. I'm running out of rocks to stack - little challenge left!! I can walk right over obstacles I wouldn't bother trying originally - this thing's badass!
It does still tip at some extremes, so now I'm thinking LCG kit...
