Great question, stevew, but it depends on what context you are asking. Really it's a Yes and No answer. That description still leaves a lot of building freedom. but let me explain a little further.

The RECON G6 Scale Adventure Events are open for all types of scalers, builds, drivers, and manufactures. In fact, new for 2014, classes have been added for different types of builds. The G6 encourages adventure and tests you as a driver and a builder. It also tests a companies products to a level that was never thought possible.

Companies such as Axial Racing, Pit Bull Tires, Fast Eddy Bearings, VP, Tekin, Novak, among others have earned the RECON G6 Certified product stamp of approval for enduring the RECON G6 Fix; an 18 hour endurance event.

There are two events a year that RECON G6 hosts for Axial Racing that are for Axial based rigs only. Axial is the Official RC Company of Ultra4 Racing. Therefore, the Axial RECON Ultra4 G6 is one of them and Axialfest is the other.

So, if your question pertains to those two "Axial Only" events, then the answer is "yes".

If your question pertains to all other RECON G6's, then the answer is "no".

What turn motors are G6ers running?

For a G6, in my scx10 I run a 35 turn geared like 16/87 perfect torque and wheel speed combo.

Oh and a quick question for you fellow G6'ers, my wraith is a total of 9 pounds. I want to get 2.2 pits and crawler innovations dual stage foams for it. Should I go with soft or medium outer foams? The innerspring wont be comp cut, just normal pattern.

Pit bull's with soft front / medium rear for that weight. Holmes 20t crawlmaster 13/56 gears 3 3s 2200's will get you through a 5 hour run

I am running 2 3s 2200mah bats in parallel, one on each side of tranny on top of the sliders. Getting about 2-3 hours a set and am going to have three sets (6 batts) this year.

I was an axial fan BUT I should not have to own axial in order to compete at any function. I feel that it is wrong to make such rules.Im sure no one cares but that rule has made my mind up for me about doing g6 and buying axial products.

Axial should support anyone with any product they want to but and play with. What happened to "run what you brung"?
Now I have to own axial in order to play lol no purchase necessary hahaha

As previously stated, as long as it is scale for "most" events anything will work. My first two G6s I ran with a guy that had nothing Axial. but he was set up with a bad A$$ Bronco body and he was never turned down.
Remember that this is an ADVENTURE so it does not really matter what you bring as long as you can drive it and have fun. I cannot wait until this next G6 and I look forward to meeting you at a future event. if you want I will bring one of my kids rigs for you to run.

Yes, G-Central will be in that area. H has full hook ups in every site except mine, go figure! LOL Who needs sewer hook up anyways.

H-22 thru H-30 are reserved, but as far as I know everything else is wide open.

I do not see it as product bias. How hard it is to understand that this is a bunch of guys and gals that love to get together for fun, friendship and driving toy trucks.
