This build was inspired by a comment made by white trash

"Cause anyone can build a budget scx10.2" and ya that was kinda my point but anyone can build somthinh a bit more popular on the cheap too

So heres a dirt cheap lcg carbon fiber chassis on capra portals with dig running a brushless outrunner system with a cliff hanger body for under $300

It was at $250 but i decided not to use the set of new plastic wheels and picked up some matching aluminum wheels so im in this not including paint for the body lol
And i wanted to practice on a few lexan bodys before i try to paint the scx6 body

On to the build

Cheap carbon fiber chassis

3 gear with dig

Capra axles

Brushless outrunner and cheap esc

Aluminum wheels that match the color i painted the body and some jconrips tires

A set of internally sprung shocks

The body got sprayed silver inside and pearl blue for the cab and doors and the bed will be black and the front and rear fenders will be white to mimic a fiberglass fender kit any way i ordered the wrong axle shafts so its not running yet but its mostly built

Aha! Do you like the motor? Not sure I have heard of the brand, Glimod.

Nice job on the skid and such what material is it made from?

Edit: I think it looks like steel but my eyes play tricks

Thank you there just 1/4 thick hdpd plastic

I havent used this model motor yet its smaller than what i normally run but i really like the bigger ones

To be honest i cant tell the differance between my hh devolver and the 9imod outrunners

Im hoping it starts up better than the bigger ones

Any way i got the white and the back on

I learned a good lesson first prep the body first give it a light scuffibg and let the paint cure before putting masking tape over it lol i got alittle bit of lifting of the white and black but not to bad loo anyway heres some pics

Looks good!

Wheels and paint are spot-on - I like the body style in that two-tone better than if it was a solid color..."thumbsup"

I think you're ready to paint your SCX-6!

Thank you sir

I had painted the blue about 3 weeks ago and the wheels i had wouldent fit over the portals then i saw these wheels and couldent pass them up it just happens its almost the same color if not exsactly same

I have 1 more scout body that needs paint to so im gona paint that one before the scx6 with as much as the scx6 bodys cost i want to make sure i get it right the first time lol

I finally got the right axle shafts and got it out for some scratches and testing and the rig performs good but the jconrips ripoffturs tires suck hard the first run and there are large chunks of tire pealing off and there is little to no grip the 2.2 jconrips ripoffturs kick butt the 1.9s suck so I'll pick up some decent tires one of these days so I can see the real potential of this rig

I figured since I like the wheelbase I cut the titanium and redid the links and picked up some 1500mah 3s battery's The only other thing I Wana do is make a battery tray the battery is just ziptied to the servo and it fell out lol
And I have to change the tires these just plain suck
Anyway a few more seconds of video

since I went all in with the new tires I figured I might as well take it to the next level with some 3d printed inserts so there on there way too

I figure there's are upgrades so I'm not gonna add them to the total but I case anyone was wondering this upgrade ran me around $110
