Testing image

I didn't know about this. I tend to use the hyperlink text from Imgur or the insert icon View attachment 508407 rather than Attach files because I could not figure out how to get the attachments to insert where I want.
Interesting. I had been using that picture icon initially. However it stopped being active on my screen. I still have the icon but it's dead now. That forced me to find another way.

Are there guys still messing with the new software installation? I assumed that was likely why these functions were changing. Now I am beginning to wonder

I never used taptalk but I remember when I was telling you that the post-image site was easy/ no problem. Welp... lol. Used to be anyway and likely the recent issue is either on my end or with RCC.
Test test test

It is interesting that you don't have that option. I have no idea what is going on nor do I know who should or shouldn't have that feature. I think it would be stupid for only members to have it.

I see it!

Post image site worked. Added image then used direct link copy and paste. Hell yea!!! It’ll be nice to post pics again!!!
Glad to see you posting photos again! (y)

From what I remember you could only post pics directly on the forum if you were a paid member. Everyone always got around that using host sites and taptalk. I guess now I need to stop slacking and update my threads 😁 thanks for the help everyone!!!

It makes sense. Hosting photos consumes a lot more storage and costs a website money. A membership would offset this cost. Using an image host is an easy way to circumvent this.

I'm glad to see you figured it out. Excited to see your photos again! (y)

I see the picture following "test via forum link"

The first one for "via direct link" I just see the address link text to a file
I really appreciate your reply here. That's how it came up for me as well but I wasn't sure how it came out on the other side of the computer lol. Thank you for the confirmation. @AnimalHippie was able to post his recent images via direct link so.. still not sure what's up. But at least it appears I'm back in business.. for now.

I'll bet that if I had a PC that wasn't forged in the 1700's by Benjamin Franklin out of wooden planks and steel, that I wouldn't have the issues that I do. 😣
I'd disagree. If a computer is involved, there are sure to be bugs and glitches!

Posting a url, even one that is directly to an image such as a .jpg, will create a hyperlink. It won't turn it into a photo. See below.

EDIT: I was proven wrong. No idea why that happened. :ROFLMAO:

Ah... I think I'm reaching that age where I need the drool wiped from my chin and someone to say "let's get you back to bed"... sigh.

Thank you, Jato. Compared to me you're an IT tech-wizard.
