so i was busy today, fixed my driveline installed a winch fixed my suspension and vented my new tires i think im ready to go out and play

Hey u guys are running the 3 racing winch I have a question. I'm useing the control board. I have it hooked up to the receiver but it needs power. I have the cc bec hooked up. Since there was a wire that is disconnected I hooked the power from the control board to this and it seems to work great. Problem is will I burn something up? And will it Händel a 3s lipo? U guys are more Eco with this did I hook it up right is there a better way and if show how? And will the winch work on 3s without getting burnt up. Lemme know I wanna make sure I'm not going to toast nething if I ever need to use the winch. I also found out my waterproof box I'm useing the ballons cracked and fell apart so I need to replace those before I atempt any water play like I'm used to lol

I would think that the board will fry easily with 3 s. What I do is use a cheap little speed control for my controler on my winch. I wouldn't be the Guy to give advice on wiring that's my week link. I've been into RC for years now and I just learned how to sotter :shock:

But on the speed control u can run 3s? My old 35 turn rebuilt haggared motor just doesn't have the get up and go I want with a 2 s I was working the winch fine on a 2s but was afraid to use the 3s

Not supposed to but up intill recently I have had no probs running 3s. I am using the Axial AE1 esc

Wow Iam glad I read this James, Iam building another rig and using 3s for the first time. I probably would have smoked that 3r winch. I have an old LRP mini speed control that might work, do you just wire the two winch leads to the + and - post of the control?? Thanks "thumbsup"

Motor +- to winch and its been so long I'm not sure what I did with my power-+ I have to take a look at my setup again I don't want to fry any electronics for you guys. If it were me Bill I would just get a Hyok winch controller and call it good.

Yea that is probably the best way to go. I have heard nothing but great things about his product."thumbsup". Any of you Valley Boys going to do the up coming Overland or G-6?? It would be great to run with you guys again.

that team thing was pretty cool sun would be cool to run a course as a team at one of are events. long as i don't have james for my team ha ha jk :ror: neat thing to do though.
