i popped this on the end of my bronco thread, but thought i would start a new one so peeps didn't miss it...

just got a toyota bruiser shell off ebay (big thanks to crazy4tamiya great service, crazy fast shipping and a free grill!?!?!). it's not quite a hilux like i wanted, but this looks sooo good on the CR-01 i think. just gotta get the grill mounted and i'm good! the pics are just on my home made rock pile in the back yard. "test track"

thanks TC, yea, i am running 2 strips of sticky lead rim weights on each from wheel, and half of one on each rear wheel. i am going for a trail run with my buddy this afternoon, sun's out so there should be plenty of pics.

just installed the 3racing bent links, great purchase! super inexpensive and they help out heaps getting over tall obstacles. got away in the forest for an hour yesterday.

???????? whoa, i think i seriously lucked out at $50 including shipping for the body, windshield and bumper.......
regardless he is a great seller, $120 is way too much. the hilux body is attainable though

my old skid plate was getting quite mangled from the zip ties breaking and the aluminum catching and folding back, so decided to try a new one, i wasn't too concerned with the diff getting bashed, just having the steering linkage protected from blows. so to create a stronger plate out of the thin aluminum i had to work with, i eliminated any unnecessary bends. here is what i came up with. i suppose a skid plate is created to protect the diff, but i just wanna protect the steering.

good point, but they are weighted differently, plus those blasted 20 screws per wheel....
also, a bit silly that they would make crawler tyres directional, you'd think you'd need equal grip forward and reverse....
thanks for the compliment on my rig, i really enjoy it!

went for a trail run, had a mishap with a wheel falling off....
