Summer Shootout 2010 June 4,5,6

Well I just overcame my fear of commitment and registered for the 2.2 sportsman class! woohoo!!!!

I will be bringing the scaler also!

Now thats what its all about right there. "thumbsup"

We could have over 20 scale rigs showing up! woohoo!!!!

Glad you finally signed up. See ya in June.

Later,

Robert

Dont forget to post up in the Competitions Forum on the AZ Summer Shootout thread so people who might not know about it can see how excited we are about it. I believe that is the format we should have gone with from the get go. Sorry, my fault. So please post HERE

Thanks
Ryan

Hey does the Campground have RV hookups? I'm pondering bringing a trailer instead of a tent :P

No hookups at the campsite. Sorry. But there are showers and restroom facilities very close to the camp site that are included in the camp site fee of $10 a night.

Okay, so I saw the flyer and registration link and signed up myself and a buddy (hence the 2 spots under my name) as it only showed 4 spots left in Novice/Sportsman.

Then I start reading all the pages in this thread and see no dig is allowed in Sportsman class.

My buddy has only driven his LCC crawler less than ten minutes so far and I just built a new one to take place of my Axial. But they say to use your dig a lot to save you axles/motor in a bind situation. So not having that option makes me worry about breakage.

Couldn't do Pro as it was full and face it we would be dead last (might be in Sportsman as well).

Thoughts or suggestions...

The LCC should be fine. I cannot for see you having any problems with it. Anyone else have a thought on this?

i don't think the dig is necessary just to keep the axles safe, if anything I would think you could add stress due to the rears being locked up tight and the fronts pulling even harder then normal. You should be fine just driving in 4wd and not using dig for sportsman class.

We're getting close to the premier event in Arizona and by far the best rocks in the state!!!

Now I've got to get all these damn scalers built/rebuilt! :ror:

Post up pics and maybe we can help. Also you can post up in the appropriate forum. For example, if you have a AX-10 then you would post in that forum. There are a lot of people here that can help.

Event shirt back design is here. Be sure to post up on this thread your shirt size and how many you want. They are $15 each, please get your preorder posted up before Friday May 14th.
Thanks
Ryan
