All new Spektrum dx4s 4-ch dsmr radio system.

If you’re looking for a surface transmitter that can do it all, the DX4S is it. Not only does it give you the flexibility of four channels, but it includes an impressive array of programming features. This includes pre-set mixes like 4-wheel steering, two user-defined mixes, on-the-fly mix rate control, ABS and more.

At the core of the DX4S is the frequency-agile, DSMR™ 2.4GHz protocol. DSMR is exclusive Spektrum™ technology that can be used with any type of RC surface vehicle, including boats. Its range and response, particularly in noisy 2.4GHz environments, is superb. Its also backwards compatible with DSM, DSM2 and Marine-specific Spektrum receivers. Longtime Spektrum users wont need to replace the receivers they have unless they want the frequency-agility of a DSMR receiver for busy 2.4GHz environments.

* The typical telemetry range is 100-200 feet and will vary depending on the operating environment.

I like the features but spektrum stuff always looks and feels cheap to me, idk maybe it's just me lol.

Looks nice.8)

I'll stick with my hacked GT3B.
I have 8 channels.
Cheaper to buy.
Cheap RX's.
Great support on this forum with a forum vendor."thumbsup""thumbsup"

I'm a Futaba fan (3PM-x on my dual ESC 2.2 Bully, 4PL for my son....lots of Futaba FM's for carpet/dirt rigs), but also like my hacked GT3B. Hopefully I will have a hacked GT3C soon.;-)

I like it, but it is still missing a thumbwheel for rear steer....which is a no-go for me.

I seen that a few hours ago on RPP Hobby, interesting. Hopefully it can compete with the features of some of the Futaba stuff.

Wow, and two years later Spektrum finally gives us what we want.

I will never buy another Spektrum radio as long as I live.

Anyone have trouble trying to get this to work with the stock Wraith ESC? I Believe its an AE-2. I seem to be able to get it to bind ok and the steering works, but there is no throttle. I try to calibrate the esc to the controller by holding the throttle down and turning on the esc, and after the initial startup beeps, it goes into a beeping with a red flashing light that kind of sounds like a heart monitor. After about 5 seconds, the beeping continues but all the lights on the esc go out.

If I hook the stock rx back up it works fine. Anyone have any ideas?
