speed and crawling

I've got a custom holmes hobbies torquemaster 27t handwound using stock esc. Works great. tons of tourqe, i'm geared 16/87. Not as fast as stock but respectable.

I think novak just released the tim buck 2. I've been running it for a while crawls awesome and rips. only came across 1 person that was faster than me and still could crawl. I think there around 170 bucks for the e s c and motor.

just finished my build with tekin 17.5 & MMP on 3s . 20/80 48p .Boost on CHEAT mode 3000-7000 . I am going to gear down , it wheelstands and flips itself backwards on concrete and top speed is more than plenty for how the truck handles , if I want to drive fast , I drive my sc10 . At crawl speed it doesnt cog but I would like a bit more torque , I am used to my honcho with BRXL & 55t tho.

Stay away from Novak, They tend to be rather problematic long haul. I've owned a few of thier escs over the years not one lasted. If it's brushed HHBRXL-20Ttorquemastr, or 13T crawl master. Brushelss go sensored stay away from the water though, MMP and a Tekin Pro4 330KV now that set up gives crazy good torque insane speed and is nice and smooth crawling.

running my novak goat 2s system with no problems. lasts a long time, moves good and crawls like a pro. I follow custom built ax10's around without much trouble.

not sure why people shy away from novak. i guess its like the people who dislike castle, yet they are one of my favorite for speed. my god they take a beating and are FAST

i'm running the mmp 1cell with the novak 18.5t sensored brushless. gearing is 18/87. excellent crawling, and speed is better than my 35t brushed motor!!! 3s lipo tho"thumbsup"

I wanted to know what would be a good system for fast trail running and some crawling?

Thanks in advance.
I picked up an LRP 21.5T sensored combo-I think thats about equal to a 35T brushed motor.VERY smooth-no cogging on takeoff and the ESC has auto select and a number of different setting profiles.Worth a look IMO.
