Just thought I would share a few pictures of my kids new Clod. Its his truck so while I went halves in the buying the kit and radio, he wants to save up for mods so we are seeing what we can do without spending a great deal of cash.

We have had it a week and so far we (we I have lol) have :

Narrowed the rims
locked the diffs
Shaved the diff's
changed the shock mounts
re-wired the motors
Removed the steering stops

This weekend we are hoping to change the pinions (8T ok with stock motors?) and get another servo and y-cable so we can change the steering setup (if anyone has a good pick of how the servo mounts it woudl be appreciated as we got to make the brackets) and for bling .. give the body a coat of satin clear coat and paint the wheels black as well ;)

Ohh I forgot his list of upgrades for down the track..

4-link suspension
New shocks
New Motors
Build our own chassis

Nice work on the suspension. I like the stock look and the shocking (no pun intended) Amount of travel you got. I made a servo plate to axle mount the servos while keeping the stock links and such. I'd post pics but I can't here.

Well I cant help myself..popped into the local hobbie store and got..

A length of Carbon Tube and a similar lenth of threaded rod, and some metal rod-end's. Time to make some links :)

A electronic speed controller (he did not have the money to get one originally)

2 cheap motors - ansmann racing Clash28 ($20.00 from the specials bin)

Heck with that, buy another one so both can get the true hands on experience. Twice as much fun to be had!"thumbsup"

my little mate has decided i am the pit crew and he is the driver lol

He has been helping out big time though and he made the links for the steering..which are pretty cool..1/4 steel rod, sheathed in Carbon tube.

and well..problem is i got the bug now..so i think once we got the clod sorted we will make a tube crawler.

I was going to buy a chassis but i would really like to make one..probably going to make it a semi-scale cralwer based on a friends 4x4..

This is the inspiration for what we will make..
