Good moral fiber

I just got my copy, and your rig is looking sweet Eric! Very nice!
As much as it is tempting to bootleg this dvd, just think of the guy producing it, he's gotta make a dollar to bring you guys more stuff in the future. Think about it, wont you?:)

(I'm getting off my soapbox now.)

Wish my red truggy made it to the video, but at least you can see my ugly mug at the very end of the credits!

No, you are not sounding like one at all. Your message is the right one! Bootlegging toyo's DVD is a bad idea. He's the little guy contributing to this hobby. So support him and others like him. "thumbsup" Nothing wrong with going to your buddies garage and watching his DVD though. :)

no copy only watchy "thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"

What class did you have your Hilux in? Trail? I was kinda hoping to see it myself, but with all the scale rule changes going on, and whatever their rules were last april/may, I'm not sure what class that rig would fall into. (I was a little suprised to see worm drive axles and Pit Bull tires, but hey, what do I know?)

Yep, at Nats last year I ran the brown runner in street and the red truggy in trail class. The truggy was at a definite disadvantage since everyone else was running 2.2 wheels and tires in trail.

As I see it this year the class definitions have changed significantly mainly to allow for three classes:

Class 1: "the new street class" max 4.19" tire outer diameter
Class 2: "the new trail class a.k.a. the old street class" max 4.75" tire outer diameter
Class 3: "the new modified class a.k.a. the old trail class" max 5.75" tire outer diameter

Under the new class definitions my brown 4rnr and the red truggy both fall into class 2. Basically most 1.5 rigs will fall into class 1, 1.9's in class 2, 2.2's in class 3. Most of the new scale rules are aimed at making the classes fair and fun. There were huge debates over worm gears who's only advantage is no roll back and and the same story for the pitbulls who's only advantage is open lug design.

Lots of cool stuff in the new rules to allow plenty of great new builds.

DAVE! SUP!

So I'll be out of town again for another trip, 3 weeks this time, leaving Sunday for Socal, 2 weeks at Novak, then a week in FL for a big race. I'm sure you're all very concerned with my travel.. :lmao:
