I bought a barely used 1900 KV Castle Slate motor to use Sendero, but there isn't any place that has any Brushless, sensored Crawler ESCs in stock.

Holmes is sold out of everything, Castle Micros and Sidewinders are all sold out, The tekin ones are nice, but almost 200 bucks for a trail truck esc ONLY??

I have a Mamba Max Pro that I used to run in one of my race rigs, and with enough fiddling with the settings, I got it working ok. Not very smooth down low with no load.

What's the deal with the electronics shortage?

Shortages for the same multiple reasons that have been happening all year, initially Covid had places not operating at full capacity, more people at home bored getting into the hobby, people with stimulus money buying up what's left, and possibly the massive computer chip shortage that's a problem for a few industries.

Strangely enough, the Mamba x can be found from rpp, tower, and others. It's become my go-to for anything brushless.

EBAY has a lot of Castle products available including the Micro X and Sidewinder ESC'S. here is a link to sidewinder 4 they look a little more expensive than Amain Hobbies and the Mamba Micro X only come in combo... Hope this helps....

I ended up getting a copperhead off of Ebay for 10 bucks over retail.

I was hoping to stay away from Ebay cause I had an issue earlier this year where I bought a Fusion setup from a seller on there and it got lost in the mail. The seller completely ignored me, and Ebay wouldn't do anything either. Finally paypal came through and refunded my money.

Cool the Copperhead is nice! eBay can be tricky I’ve been buying and selling for over 20 years the trick is to pay with PayPal like you said then your protected.... Glad you got the copperhead it’s pretty stout... BUZZZZZZ....
