Shapeways has shutdown and filed for bankruptcy...

Go local. There are likely local printers in your area that are hungry for your business. You'll get a better product, better customer service, and no shipping hassles.

Besides Bing, Google, etc., do you know of a local print hub search engine where one can find local printers?

I'm going to guess the new old owners had to take on a significant amount of debt to buy Shapeways back. Adding massive debt payments to a business struggling to survive because it has raised prices beyond what the market will support sounds like a recipe for long term success.

Very true, local libraries often have FDM printers available for use. I'll also add that getting better quality than a SLS print from FDM just aint happening but that doesnt always mattery for every print.

If you're afer the Shapeways style SLS print finding a local shop to do might be tough. SLS machines are expensive AF so typically only large companies have them.
