Well Im in need of a High Torque servo (thanks djblaugh, lol) and I figure why not get something EXTRA strong this time. Go for broke on this one. It will have a CC BEC wired direct to the Servo and the ESC will be a HH BR-XL or a CC Mamba Max Pro. Anyone have any suggestions as to which would be better or is there an alternative that is comparable to the two above. Thanks for any help, info or advice. Need to order or purchase ASAP by like tomorow night at the latest so I could have it by this coming weekend comp. "thumbsup"

Will a 7980 fit in a standard SCX or Wraith?

I just ordered a 2270SG straight from Savox's site for $85, if that sways your decision at all.

It will be replacing a 7954SH.

OK, so here is what Im going to try. My LHS has the 2270SG in stock, if they will price match the 80 I will buy one. I have 2 other Savox servos in my other two rigs and have good luck with them. The servo that stripped metal gears today was a Hitec and it was in a Wraith. Just hit a small little ditch in the field and it yoked the wheel to the left and stripped the middle gears teeth off in a 1/4" area.

So now for the 80 dollars Im willing to try the Savox BL servo. Seems like a fairly good price for its power. I will also be using a CC BEC on it as well. Thanks for the help and the heads up on the price.

I'm not sure how it will last, but considering I have six packs on my Wraith and I've stripped two 7954SH's, I figure it must last longer than that.

I have a Savox 1268 in my SCX that is still running strong after almost six months of regular abuse and submersion.

I also have a Savox 1258 in my Blitz that has remained super fast and precise for over a year of big air abuse with a locked up aluminum servo saver.

I'm hoping that my experience with these two other servos means good things for the 2270.

And can anyone tell me if a 7980 fits in a SCX or Wraith?

7980 will fit an SCX, but I believe not with the Hand Bros. kit. Not sure about the wraith, it's not that much bigger though.
