SCX24 Wraith - Performance Suggestions Requested!

Hey all,

I have a grand project in mind: take my scx24 chassis and turn it into a a 1/24 (or likely closer to 1/18) scale Wraith. The nuance, and what I need you guys to help with, is some ideas on how to get the performance there.

But, while my internet searching has found some "visual" scx24 wraith conversions, I haven't found one where the car is really converted into what the Wraith is, which is a really unique mix between a short course truck with some crawling capabilities; wide wheel base, shorter shock travel, and a little overpowered!!

SO I'm hoping to solicit some ideas on how to get it there. First, the ideas I have in mind:
1. Wider axles. I have a Traxxas LaTrax Rally and I'm thinking about trying to stuff those axles onto the car, although I don't think the wheel travel will be remotely close enough. As an alternative I'll probably go for 1/18 RC4WD axles, unless someone has a good suggestion?
2. Lower stance. I suspect I can get the stance I want with some "common" scx24 shocks; will probably wait until I have the axles sorted so I have an idea of the size I need. Might go for the hotracing "long travel" shocks or try to find some 1/18 scale oil filled shocks.
3. Full electronics replacement, and SUPER interested in suggestions here. I'm very seriously considering just gutting the LaTrax Rally's electronics if I can force them to fit somewhere just because I already have them and that thing rips and tears. Biggest problem will be a battery; (a) the LaTrax uses the stupid traxxas battery connector which is outrageously large and (b) the 5-cell NIMH included is ****ing enormous and alone is probably going to eat all the space in the chassis. But maybe I can make a smaller battery work with some wiring changes

Those are the main things I have in mind. Posting in the hope that some of you guys that are super faimilar with particular parts and especially electronics and axles will have some strong suggestions that will help me get to the goal!

Well since this didn't get any traction I'll provide a self-update.

So far I've picked up the Injora aluminum rock bouncer chassis and some treal links, truck looks great already and I'm loving the performance.

Still to go:
1. axle widening kit from vgoohobby
2. 4 link conversion for front end. Gonna need some new drive shafts.
3. Suspension travel is disgustingly limited on the stock springs. Carrying like 80% load with just the extra weight from the links and aluminum chassis, especially in the front since I have the battery mounted as low and as far forward as humanly possible.
4. Have some injora green wheels with some bigass tires coming in that should look great, especially with the wide stance from the axle widening kit.
5. Once all that stuff is in I'll definitely need a new servo, probably just get the emax that everyone else puts into these trucks.

So right now the only open question is what kind of motor I need to drop in here to get a little more power. Considering the Injora 66t motor but haven't really been able to find any feedback on it.
