I'm looking to make a set of metal high clearance links this weekend, the only problem I see would be making the front steering links. Does anyone know what can be used for the link ends? Stock ones have a very small screw and it's short with the ball end. I'm looking to have the link from the servo go all the way to the knuckle.

I've only really seen the stock balls. I picked up another full set of links so I would have extra pivot balls. For the steering links though I think your better off getting some 3d printed ones or the hot racing metal ones. For the links under the truck I bought some rod ends off shapeways that use the stock pivot balls. I made high clearance links by going to the forum post they have giving you the measurements I then added 2.5mm to their measurements then bent them using the edge of my desk until the holes matched a stock link. They work fantastic with zero binding on the upper links or drive shaft.

I'd like to get them all metal, to add some weight down low but also for durability. I've seen some ig pics of the set up I want but when I messaged about how the guy did it he didn't answer me about it.

This isn't really what you asked but on mine I:

Put o-rings on the ball ends
&
Wrapped the link in thread and then soaked that with CA glue

With those 2 simple things done it's pretty close to as stiff and strong as any metal link out there...

Yeah I get that for stiffening, but I also want the extra look of the metal links vs plastic. I haven't had issues that I know of yet with my stock links aside from 1 link that came broken from the factory.

Roger that, you'll likely also get some benefit from the increased mass of metal links..

Update, a small company called intheworksrc just released a set of high clearance and steering links in brass or stainless and treal has just released a set of aluminum steering links
