Hello everyone. I know there is a lot of mixed feelings about the Cybertruck. And it seems like a lot of the folks on here actually hate it. Not sure why. But Im not one of them. I have one on order and can't wait til its in my driveway.

Ive 3D printed some models of the Cybertruck and since doing that, wanted to modify one of the models so it can be a RC car body. I wasen't willing to preporder the Hotwheels RC version.

Biggest problem has been finding an RC that has a wheelbase long enough for the body to fit without being shortened and not look scale anymore.

Im finding that it looks like the SCX24 is real close at least in wheelbase. The problem is that cybertruck body would be pretty small and not look very good on the chassis. So now I'm looking at extending the wheelbase of the SCX.

Another option is possibly smaller wheels and tires to make the whole thing look more scale.

Anyway, more to come...

Ever since it came out I've wanted a body for my 1/10 short course truck, but I've been so cought up on my scx24 deadbolt project I never thought of doing a body for that chassis. Also, I don't have a 3d printer. I would love to see this built

1/10 scale would have to be printed in parts for sure. About 5 hours into my first shot on the body. I recently got a white Jeep scx24, and have a deadbolt also. But if this works out I may have to get a third just for the cybertruck.

I've seen pics here or maybe on FB of a Cybertruck - I think they had made it out of paper as a tester.

Yeah, cybertruck is bad. The reason they chose that body style probably wont even roll over to the production model. The thick panels he used are not conducive to molding and relegated the bad 80s supercar wedge shape. Chances are the production model will not get the same panels as the extra weight will kill the performance/efficiency. That one is going to have a niche market, but will flop with truck owners. I'd wait for the Rivian or F150.

I personally think you are completely wrong. When Musk says something is production he means it. When he says I’ll be the first private company to send people to space, he did it. Have you even read about the brand new technology he invented to create the body in one stamp of SS? And the. It’s all bent into place on a press. This truck is happening and will be huge like every other Tesla model. The other brands will always be running to catch Tesla with their sub par electric vehicles.

Need to cut out the lights in the front and figure out the glass. The wheels were a bitch but basically took a headlock wheel from Thingiverse and made the face a disk and then made essentially a hubcap to pop on and hide the wheel but.

Lights are going to be a whole project on their own. I am starting to think I have to buy a new scx24 to dedicate to this build.

I think it looks awesome. But I think the lights are going to be your biggest hurdle
