Thanks, that was a great read and reminder not to go any further with my SCX6, runs great for its size with the OEM electrics less the servo.

Glad you enjoyed it. The SCX-6 needs few upgrades indeed, and I'm surprised as to how well the OEM parts have held up considering the hundreds of hours we've spent on the trail with it.

Driving with other SCX-6 crawlers, especially ones with few mods, our Honcho out climbs them pretty easily on steep, technical lines, but overall they remain closely paired on the trail. Usually a tuning of the shocks, and a good set of tires and foams makes the SCX-6 quite capable. Yes, the OEM servo sucks, but most do anyhow, so I don't hold it against Axial.

With our expansive sandstone terrain, the SCX-6 has become one of my favorite machines in the fleet.
