Hey guys. Looking for some help on what servo winch to use and what mount is needed for a clean servo winch install.

Thanks

I recommend internal spool winches. With the external spool winches, a little slack in the line will allow it to get wrapped around the bottom of the spool and can jam up. There are 3d printed caps that can help prevent that from happening though.

I have two Reefs 300 IS winches and they have been great. One has survived two comp seasons of use on a 7lb truck. If you're going to be using it for competition, the hook that comes with Reefs synthetic servo line is awesome. It is big and easy to connect to a winch stick or another rig and it has a barb on it, which helps prevent it from falling off. Doesnt look scale though if that is your primary objective.

Thank you. I'm definitely going to look into the internal spool ones. Is there a good mount that I should look at? Space seems limited at the front of the truck with the replica engine.
