This is mine and my son's first attempt at doing a new body. We had the axial aluminum link upgrade which we got creative with to get the wheel base correct, without causing any binding in the drive shafts. Not bad for our first try, but definitly some noticable paint concerns(my noob mistakes). Overall were pretty happy.

After first coat, before doing black undercoat

After black undercoat, I didn't realize i missed the roof rack...

Tinted the windows and added the spare tire, were waiting on another wheel and matching tire to finish the scale look of the spare.

My son capped it off by doing the stickers, we will post more pics of it in use soon.

Next step on this will be adding an FXR esc, 35t or 45t motor, CC BEC, and if he gets his 3.75 gpa in school he will be getting a Spektrum 3 ch remote followed by a winch. Hoping to get some King shocks as well...but need to take care of the electronics first.

Cool body !! !is that a dingo or honcho chasis ,,,wheelbase ??

Its the honcho chasis, we had the axial aluminum upgraded links(stock honcho length). So we ended up putting the 98mm lower front links into the lower back link position. Shortened the rear upper "Y" links with the extra parts that came with the aluminum kit(it was causing some binding before we did this). Then for the front links we used the plastic dingo links that came extra with the honcho, and left the front uppers with the aluminum upgrades alone. Right now the wheel base front to back is sitting just below 11.75".

Very nicely done! Looks just like a bud of mine's 1:1 XJ,LOVE that thing (just waiting on him to sell,he's been talking about a Tundra ;) )

Just a brief update, we put in a Castle ESC, and a 55t motor and we are taking it out tomorrow to a local urban spot to test it all out. The castle link has some great features to setup you crawling, not sure if i like the Tekin Hotlink software better, but both a great to use and play with

Nice truck man. I retired my cherokee body a while ago. Its sitting up in the garage now. Attempted to remove the paint and lost interest.

Were noticing some drawbacks to the Cherokee body, as we are limited to the size of outter tire diameter. With out chopping the flares off and doing more body work we need to stick with smaller tires.
