Well I got to thinking again after reading and posting in this thread about servo's and steering options. I came up with an idea for a scale steering box with a reduction and uses a standard servo. The idea uses a guitar tunner (modified of course), servo shaft with a u-joint. The tunner I have found in 4:1 and up to 16:1 and they are worm geared. As for a cost they range from 15 bucks to over 150 bucks:shock: To hook it up take off the thumb knob and install a set screw u-joint. Then put in a shaft to the servo with a shaft and u-joint. On the tunner shaft where the string would go put a pitman arm on and then you should have a scale steering boxset up. The servo might have to be hacked to be a constant turn with a pot placed someplece to center it agian if wanted.
I think this is one for MicroGoat to try"thumbsup"
