Scale Oregon Trail’R Terradrop Alpha Off-Road Teardrop Trailer

Thanks Bill. I’m working on another prototype. Just small refinements like laser cutting the screw holes for the doors. I’ve 3D printed a sink but it still needs to be refined. Should have some more pics up this weekend.

Finally got around to trying out the hinges on the door. What a pain in the ass. Putting tiny nuts on blindly on the inside of the trailer was a test. Finally got it done though and here is the final result. Going to make some sort of a magnetic latch to hold it shut and have to come up with some door handles. I may have a few kicking around. Somewhere...

Well, since my whole working life just turned itself upside down and I find myself teaching online rather than in a room full of teenagers, I haven't spent much time playing or building.

I did design a little magnetic latch to hold the doors shut. It's 1.5mm plywood with a 3mm magnet in the hole.

Here it is glued inside the door.

I glued another magnet to the door.

And here's a view of the inside.

Just enough stick to keep the door shut. Now where the heck are those door handles?

Bit more done on the trailer this week. Painted it with Grey Plastidip. Bolted on the new fenders. Still need to get a real axle and find those f^%$#n door handles. Also working out proper hinges for the galley. One day I'll finish this thing.
