Samurai SJ413

Thanx Fanatic
I too have always loved the Samurai,I've had and built several. This rc build
is a copy of my latest.

The way the stock front frame horns curved downward was not going to
work with the bumper so they got modified..8)

Started by tracing out the frame rail and figuring where to cut.

Made some straight extensions and drop hangers.

Reassembled everything, now the bumper will tuck up against the grill.
(yes the over spray on grill will be fixed..:) )

Decided to add fender flares even though they were removed from my 1:1,
thought they would add more definition to the model.

I made a silicone mold of the foam seat and and used a hard urethane
to cast them. Now more can be made when needed.

Finally have gotten back on the Samurai build, bought a battery and the
radio controller, so it's just a matter of connecting everything up. Had to
figure out a way to mount and hide the battery. Hope to have a maiden
run real soon.

I decided it's time to not be stock.
I bought new tires...

...and installed some 80mm dual rate coilovers.
I annealed the main leafs (they just locate the axle)and made 12mm taller
shock hoops ,drilled and tapped new mounting holes.

On the rear I used the TF2 front shock towers.
