The 2 waterproof rigs, ready for whatever winter brings...8):twisted:8)

:lmao::flipoff::lmao:

I did indian rock and under the bridge today. LOTS of mud on the trails! Made all the climb interesting. The pond at indian rock is down enugh to drive across. Any takers?:lmao:

My rig is done! (Finally... thanks FlightInstrukta!) But, I still don't have a car, or I'd be willing:mrgreen:

doing a internal spring mod on mine and waiting for the snow to fly, should give me plenty of places to crawl here. also working on plans for a home brew scaler chassis.

Here's what I was able to scrounge together: SCX Chassis that I won in a giveaway, fully loaded TLT axles, allthread links, HS645 servo, Axial ESC, 45t motor, Axial Trans, Axial Beadlocks, Mud Thrashers...

I still have a laundry list of things I need to obtain for this rig. I wanna build a grill for this body (something cheap, this body sucks...) I'd like to someday add a winch and Dinky-Link for up front. I know the beadlock rings are yellow, and that kinda sucks, but the yellow is powdercoated and it was done right... I'll hit up MTHead for a set of rings later. I plan to order up some tubing to sleeve all my links, and I'd love to find a set of 4 springs (in black) to replace the springs on the stock SCX shocks. Lastly, an FXR and a new motor would tie things together (and give me a drag brake...)

The ESC was purely an afterthought. I just have it sketchily mounted, and I wired it even more sketchy. I just wanted it to work, so it's far from perfect...

Broke an axle shaft right? Was that a stock one?

ya, stock axle... im waiting for highlucks to finish production of the wraith seld-m-bend rear axles, then ill have the beef i need... im torn between that, and just dropping the coin to do rear steering instead...8)

I personally vote rear steering on it, it would be badass to mess around with"thumbsup"

Hello all, My name is Gordon I live in Hope, Ks which is about 40 miles east of Salina. I am getting into the hobby and just wanted to say HI. I am looking at an axial rig. Just cant decide which one. Thought I would just put my name up here. I have added a few you as freinds so when the times come i might have someone to wheel with. I work for the union pacific rr as an engineer. My job is on call so my hours are always changing. Well anyhow thats a little about me. Hope to catch you guys sometime.

welcome to the group, maybe one day we all get together lol.

on a side note, looks like i am going to build my own frame in teh next few months, a guy on the rs10 thread inspired me. will be a scaler with MOA for now, then hopefully this time next year i will make the switch to shafty.

I would rather build a moa rock crawler but I think I will get more use out of a scaler like the wraith.

What's up all.

New to the forum and crawlers. I used to race stadium truck about 20 years ago and got back into RC's last summer.

I should be getting a Wraith kit in the mail soon with all the goodies. I can't wait to build it. Hope to see you guys in the future.

If anyone has any insight on the wraith, let me know.

Got the wraith where I am happy with it, now it's too cold to run it.

The good new is, I'm off on Monday and there may be snow."thumbsup"
