Anyone know if you can run the regular micro x with a HH 3300 Kv puller pro stubby on a pretty light (hopefully 6 lbs or less) cheater rig?

Not sure if the regular Micro X and Micro X Crawler Edition are spec’d the same, but the Micro X Crawler Edition claims it can run a motor “up to” a Holmes Puller Pro Stubby 2700kv. So the simple answer would be no according to the esc specs, but I’m sure many would do it anyway. I wouldn’t, but I typically err on the side of caution.

King Dork is correct, the micro x crawler is rated for a 2700kv puller pro or 2850kv castle slate. I’ve ran the 2850 with a micro in idk 4 or 5 different rigs including a 7.2lb 6x6 and have no complaints. Other than the bec which isn’t an issue with a direct power servo

If I run a direct power servo would that take a little of the load off the esc?

I'm running a micro x with a stubby 2700 puller in a Venture on 2s, and another micro x on a trx4 sport with a slate 2850 on 3s, geared down to 12/45. Overall I'm happy with both setups, but its obvious the puller pro, even the stubby, is the stronger motor.

The regulator puller pros are going to draw more amps than the stubby, which is already on the verge of what the Micro will handle.

For a general trail rig on 1.9s the 2700 stubby is plenty. It's got more snot and a smoother initial startup than the Slate.

Yes, because it’s not relying on getting its power from the esc through the receiver. Also takes a large load off the receiver. You could always run a standard servo, but with the micro x you definitely need a bec

Awesome. Thanks for that info. Hopefully I don’t smoke the esc now.

I forgot to include the dig, I should probably run that off a direct power as well. Or maybe a micro?

What transmission are you running? That’s a good question, I’ve never dealt with dig and a micro x. Maybe someone else can chime in but I think you would be fine considering how little use it gets compared to the steering servo

Vanquish 3 gear. The dig came with a traxxas I believe rtr servo so that’s not a huge draw I don’t think.

Too bad you can't run 4s on that micro....really wanted to run the new 1600kv 10pole 3bros with the micro on 4S. Would have been a sweet combo.
