I have a couple of questions:

1. What's better overall 3racing winch or bulldog winch

2. Whats better in speed "

3. What's can pull more "

4. Can I use the 3 position switch on a summit controller for the bulldog / the 3racing

5. Do you think this was pointless

Lol, the winhces on the market aren't bad. Just not as capable as one may think.

In the electronics section is a how yo for a servo winch.
if your looking for power and something that lasts. Then that's the route you can go.

Basically with a hitec 645mg, a betoken controller, one if my spools, and winch line of your choice you can have a reliable winch.

If looks is your thing and your not too concerned with power and durability, then either will be fine.

The main issue is the motor and gears used to run the winches are lacking, but because of the sizes of these winches. There isn't much that can be done with them.

They are a good looking winch that works. Not a good working winch that looks good.

Now if your wanting looks and power. You can feed a line through a dummy winch and use a servo. Or spend about $250.00 and get the winches that sds customz is selling. Called the quicksand which will pull a real truck seriously.

I have an old 3racing winch that got sunk for 3 days on my boat so I just thought get a servo winch and loosen the screws on the winch spool and then wrap the rope round once and the the rope goes to the winch so how mich would you charge for a servo winch spool and where do I get the controller and would it work on the diff lock switch on the summit

I think with your transmitter - someone please correct me if I am wrong - you can only get two positions from the extra channels without modifying the transmitter. My Winch controller for the two position channel would work for you there.

Give that channel a try. Plug a servo into it (just move your steering servo plug if you don't have another servo handy) and see if the transmitter will send it to three different positions or something else.

My esc doesnt have one I think and I mean like how you run a 3 racing winch controller off of a separate battery pack

The 3 racing controller has a plug for a battery pack. Unless of course it broke off like mine did.

I built a 645 servo winch a long time ago and I'm using a Heyok controller and it works very well.

If you run my controller, it doesn't take power from an external pack, it takes power from being plugged into the receiver.
