i bought an imax b6 charger, no i am having problems. it came with tamiya plugs installed on all the charge wires, and every time i install deans on it i cant get the solder to stay. i applied it before charged one battery, and a day later one of the wires had come loose. now i put a brand plug on it and it has happened again. are these where they plug into the charger universal and could i just buy a new charger cable?

did you buy it used? if so i hope you got a smokin deal. what type of solder are you using? i use 60/40 rosin core...works great

last i checked its not a good idea to stand on a metal tab you are applying extreme heat to.:lmao: but no i did not sand the area, but also my esc's that i did at the same time are holding up great. matter of fact the one i had one my 4 tec dismounted during a roll over and everything held.

AH..I forgot that it came with a tamiya plug on it. No scuffing, standing, sanding, etc needed...just some good solder. I get mine at Radio Shack. What type of solder are you using...you didn't say...

i have just been using novak silver solder, its worked for me for years. i am not especially knowledgeable about solder, but i do what i can. also on the web sight all the pictures show deans.

now see thats what i was thinking originally...and thats why i asked if you bought it used. the novak solder should work fine...what type of soldering iron?
