Prices Going Up

Everyone needs an enemy and an ass in this life.

Imagine this world without any "bad guys" or "ass holes":) That's no fun. haha. Who are we going to blame and talk about then

Think youre talking about that panther guy. This guy is just an ass.
Mr. Whiskers was something else
🤣
🤣
🤣
same flavor

So, for example, what, has gone up in price? Is it really that much considering this is a hobby?

Technically, I don't think we've really seen the increase yet - they're just saying that they are on the way.

at this point im more worried about shipping costs going up a 12$ esc going up a doller or 2 isent a big deal but add 10-15$ on top of that and that would hurt

on the other side a 500$+ rig 15$ shipping isent to bad

i might feel different if they do tariff the snot out of us lol but right now im not to worried about tariffs im still hoping they will wash out and wont be a issue

Axial/Horizon already added $20 to the stupid cutting-brake-won't-unlock Hoolihan! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Pretty sure it was $579 to $599. Fyi it still shows $579 on the axial website pre-order.
Yup, the original presale was $579, then the price went up $20. We never like to pay more money than we have to for our fun, but is $20 on a $600 item REALLY that big of deal? For me it is moot, at this time I have no plans of buying one.

Anyone preorder when the price was $579? I wonder if they'll have to cough up $20 more, or if they will get it for the original price.

Not to belabor any more Made in the USA arguments, but as someone that currently works for a company that is a federal contractor, I have a strong belief that the most benefit of where something is "made" should go to the workers instead of the parent company.

I really do try to vote with my wallet, and just in the past 15 years, I've had a Jeep Wrangler built in Toledo, Ohio, a Honda Pilot built in Lincoln, Alabama, a Nissan Frontier built in Canton, Mississippi, a Toyota Tacoma built in San Antonio, Texas, and finally a VW Atlas built in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Alright I'll stop--maybe I'll go post in the rant thread instead.

I think we can all agree that prices across the board have risen on everything. The costs on this RC hobby isn’t in any way what I’d call expensive after having spent 25 years building Jeeps and last 15 just dedicated almost exclusively to ‘93-‘04 Grands. I also have been into archery for long ass time. Archery gear has gone absolutely bat shit since Covid. Bows, sights, rests, arrows….all of it, through the damn roof. It’s 2K for a carbon bow now, aluminum bows are as much as carbons 4 years ago. I shot handguns competitively for 16 years in the USPSA/IDPA circuits, anybody here guess how much reloading components are now….also through the roof, one pound of Titegroup powder in ‘19 was around $19, pistol primers were with Nevada tax $36 out the door for 1000ct….today that powder is $45 and primers are still around $80 for 1000ct. At 10K-12K rounds a year, sometimes 1K on one Saturday afternoon gets a little ridiculous. I quit the game early ‘21. Jeeps…..I picked a super clean 97 with intent of long arm set up, suspended that idea indefinitely and recently just sold that ZJ off. Nearly have to sell off body parts just to keep one running let alone building one. My last build that started prior to Covid and finished around mid ‘21 has set of adjustable upper and lower CAs on both axles that were nearly 1K, bought a set of Treals control arms(translated into RC: suspension links) for a 4M that were $40 for all 8. Admittedly I am a new comer to this game, I haven’t the time invested into as likely most here have, I just mean this as perspective that I genuinely do not view this as an expensive hobby and like most other hobbies it only as expensive as one makes it.
