Offical Scores

I dont have overall scores yet but remember that its the best of 3 classes, not all 4. The intention was to give more people the opportunity to have a shot at the overall as most dont have all 4 cars. Below is the info originally posted by SDS.

Interesting approach...obviously I wasn't there so I don't have much of a reason to gripe...but wouldn't an "overall" winner be the "overall" winner of the total number of classes won? Seems fishy to drop a class...that's all.

In that case SDS wins by 2-3 points depending on whether or not the 2.2pro scores get adjusted and such.

Either way...great driving to both drivers 8)

What classes constituted the overall at Nats? Seems to me consistency across qualifiers and the big game would be sensible. Something to consider. Was it posted before the comp what classes constituted the overall?

I suppose it could change depending on how you look at it. In our point series we get to throw out our worst score but after the throw out, we still have an overall winner even though not every comp is in consideration.

When John and I discussed it at the time, I thought there would be 5 sporty cars showing up a touch of 1.9 and a touch of super. With all the classes besides 2.2 being smaller it made sense at the time since you would give many more people an opportunity at the overall, not just the 5 that I was expecting and you are doing a true overall with 5 or so people, that does not seem that fun nor competitive. If you do the throw out, now you have much more competition for that win. In hindsight, I would have just done a true overall with the great turn out in all classes but that was impossible to foresee. I think all will agree that all classes had a much better turn out than expected. Even Nationals just had a comparable turnout and thats supposed to be the biggest comp of the year, by far.

At first I wanted to do just the normal 2.2, 1.9 super for the overall but when John brought up the sportsman, I wanted to add that in even I thought there was no interest, as I want to help our hobby grow and maybe get some interested in sportsman.

See my post a couple up, SDS posted ahead of time that we will be dropping a score.

The scoring was decided before the comp as far as ranking and one throwout. So I did not get the overall. John (SDS Customz) got it. I'm sure the overall will be posted with the facts. Its all good. I had an awesome time competing with everybody as well as putting faces to names on the forum.
The rock at wendover is AWESOME. I would love to come down and comp there again. Huge thanks to Erik Dlux for throwing the comp together and the BYB participation and all the 801 guys. As well as everybody that helped. Awesome job guys. "thumbsup"
