Yeah sounds crazy, but NPDR is a crazy fast growing segment many are getting into. Being an experienced RC guy, I’m going to build a kit . Always liked Associated, from SC days, so grabbed a DR10 roller, and a box of goodies, including electronics, wheels, tires, shocks, gearing and clutch parts, of course a couple of body’s to paint. Yeah the cheap kit has $1k in it, and has a respectable time and speed, as a work in progress. You can see where it was and is today.
So as I’m a regular at my LHS I asked who’s getting the blue Losi Camaro? Answer was no cash yet, so I prepaid and got mine before release. Gorgeous looking, everything was there, no leaks or loose/missing screws. Waited for my battery (release day coincide?) and did a quick street hit, barrel roll and crash due to surface and tires ballooning. So went home drained, filled, bled shocks, added a set of Proline Reactions , mounted on Beef Cleavers. Also a bit of detail paint on the grill was added cause it bothered me.
Tho only tuning done was to corner weigh the car, and shim / preload the stock shocks, stock pinion and spur
