This is not a build thread. I am posting to show what I accomplished with the inspiration from a bunch of members here. Most notably ZoSo, BigSki, BigMike and 51WillysJeep.

It is modeled after my 1:1 CJ3A.

The running gear is all standard Hasbro Willys.
Axial trans.
Holmes Hobbies 40T Torque Master.
RC4wd transfer case.
AX10 axles with home made wide Beef Toobs.
Rok Lox on ProLine 8-Shooters.
3-link front.
4-link rear.
SCX10 shocks.

The Grill, Windshield Frame and Tail Gate I designed and had 3d printed.
I also had the dummy Saginaw Steering Box 3d printed.
The front bumper and frame rails are made from .030 steel.
The headlights are made from Harbor Freight flash lights.

Here is my 1:1

"thumbsup". The printed parts look great, I really like the windshield frame. Maybe this will motivate my arse to get back to finishing the one that I started to model.

Nice 3A you got there. Those seats look super comfy. Do you have a build thread for it?

Here are some more pictures.

Sorry, no build thread. I didn't take many pictures while I was building it.

The seats have a sheet metal back shell. Then foam added and a hand sewn cover.

BigSki, if you are interested, I could send you the windshield file for you to play with.

Thanks for the offer! What program did you build it in? I have Inventor and Solidworks.

Nice job and detail, Nomad, and I like the towbar also, really sets it off, "thumbsup""thumbsup", Who is your driver?, looks more realistic than my "Barbie".

It was done in Solidworks. I can send it in a parasolid form. PM me your email address and I will send it.

Thanks a bunch! I'm tweeking the windshield frame to see if I can make it into a 3B. No one has given any love to the high hood ugly ducking yet.

Except me Ski...I've been working in the "R&D" for awhile, since I have Dragon 1/6 without a windshield. Not sure if I'm going RC with it or just build it static and convert it later on, but it will definitely be a 3B.

I don't think there has ever been a model, even a static model of a 3B.

I started a static 3B. It's still a work in progress though. Trying to put together an entire Jeep by model collection.

Sorry for jacking your thread Nomadpsd. Your 3A is the one of best I've seen on here.

Great job! I want that steerring wheel for mine"thumbsup"

I can give you the pattern and you can build your own.

I like the 3B idea. I've never liked the look of the 3B, but it would be cool to see something different done with these things.

Hello,
You can upload pictures from the frame and show the axes?
Greeting Clemens

I will take some pictures and post them. It will probably take me a few days.

There is a 2003 Hasbro Willys on ebay right now. It has the opening hood like mine. Missing windshield. Looks like a good deal.

Here are the pictures of the suspension.
The frame brackets were made from aluminum panel edging.
The links are 1/4" aluminum tubing with 4mm all-thread through the middle.
The rod ends are Traxxas Revo.
