***NEW Venom Group CREEPER 2.2 Comp Crawler!!!

I got one of those weak axles and Venom sent them right out to me, they rock! Only problem is I'm down till they get here:-(. Over all I like the piece, I'm new to crawling and looking forward to learning new stuff. Been Monster Tucking for a few years, this is cool to me cuz it's slow and tecnical.
Joey

being from Europe, looks like I have to wait till all the bad lots are gone, don't wanna have some extra cost to ship back to US some bad axles..."thumbsup"

hay guys. been researching this crawler for months now. purchased it 2 nights ago and it is on its way from cali to mass. was wondering if anybody had a digital copy or photos of the manual so i can prepare the workstation/ tools i need. venom guys keep up the info on this thing if you want to sell more potential buyers on it. i have purchased this bot for the personal love of radio controlled vehicles / crawlers. and to test the design and incorporate some aspects of it into my robotics team bot if it passes. will have pics and vids of the the build and ledge crawling as soon as it arrives / built.

srry abot the double post but i suggest to the venom folks that this be changed to the official venom creeper post because it is way more active than there original one.

there should never have been any m2.5 screws in this kit. i have stripped every one iv tried to drive. the hardware store doesnt even carry them. venom should have at least pre threaded the holes they go into because with that little of a wrench appling that much pressure would strip any m2.5 bolt. up set about that but i got my crawler and am continuing to build...

If your using the correct driver that should not be an issue. If the screw material is poor then I understand but thats not the case with our hardware. Ive used a ball driver on our screws as well without fail so just make sure the driver tip is filling the socket of the screw very well, if not you will strip the head for sure.

Are you guys at venom having many complaints with the diff locks, the pins in one of my rings were all bent, I ordered new parts and am running it open diffed in the front right now, other than that, it kicks some serious arse, steering is awesome, flex is awesome, tires hook up good, but i need some wheel weights

Does anyone know the center to center distance of the holes that mount the skid plate to the chassis plate?

If the part came bent from the kit you should contact us for a replacement if you havent already. Other than that we have not heard of any problems with that part.

Chris

Just Zach has mounted a Reign Industries Wide Mouth, and the Bastard Jr on his Creeper and I will have an new chassis from JP Custom RCs on mine soon.

Give it a little time and I'm sure there will be multiple options available."thumbsup"

I might be the newest member and Creeper owner on the block. I'm part way through the build and there was a piece missing and another not machined correctly. I just got off the phone with CS and they're on the way. I can't wait to drive this damn thing!

watch out for weak cv axles

bought a new creeper and started putting it together right away. all went well till time for the wheels. put on three and the axle sheared off at the outer pin while tightening last wheel. lets see how venom will handle the issue.

Just finishing up my Creeper build and am happy to report All parts were included in my kit, no shortages of anything. Also all parts went together with no problems except for stripped threads on 3 beadlock screws.
