***NEW Venom Group CREEPER 2.2 Comp Crawler!!!

Creeper Dig Kit Announcement

"thumbsup"Hey guys, you asked about a Dig Kit and here it is! We are letting the cat out of the bag today we have a Dig Kit for the Creeper and its pretty sweet. The complete kit swaps out some stock parts and turns the Creeper into the most versitile crawler available with Locking Diffs and rear Dig. It works in 3 modes so 4WD, FWD with open "free spinning" rear axle and FWD with locked rear axle. It's controlled one micro servo and has a servo saver built in. The Dig mechanics employ a series of straight cut gears and an actuator fork for precise smooth shifts. The kit is $69.99 and will be available early next year.

The Creeper shipment is due to arrive this week however we have had a massive snow storm and a snowday is in effect today and possibly tomorrow. This is unfortunate and an unexpected delay. We are hoping to be able to ship kits early next week, maybe Monday.

Happy Holidays
Chris

wow way to listen and adapt to the market. i am interested to see how dig and open diffs does to comp crawling. great job!!!

Looks like I am going to have to get one now that I see the dig kit. I love how the rear can be locked or open.

The price on the press release is the Retail Price and what I posted will be MAP or what you would pay in stores. It wil be $69.99.

Anybody have a suggestion on a 4 channel controller? If you are unlocking the axles and using the dig what would be the best way to go?

Are there any dimensions for the transmission size with the dig on it? Looks a little on the large side.

From memory I think the total length of the trans is about 65-70mm front to back. In the images above your looking at the rear of the chassis and the trans is not in any danger from obstacles. The kit comes with new telescoping shafts to make the adjustment. Its a very stout trans design and it has to be to handle the loads you guys are going to put on it!

My suggestion for crawling radios given the possible number of channels you can run on the Creeper would be something like the Spektrum DX6 or 7 or similar Futaba FASST sytem. That way you can do anything you like.

Steering
Throttle
Front Diff Lock
Rear Diff Lock
Dig (3 position switch recommended)
Rear Steering?
Lights?

Two position DIG switch or button results in loss of the "open" or free wheeling driveline, it will be either locked/unlocked.

Thats 7 channels already plus any mixing you might like to do.
I'll probably go over kill on my personal Creeper with a JR 9303 9ch radio with Spektrum and make everything work off of toggles. I have the radio already so why not? "thumbsup"

I'd like to know what vendors are going to carry parts. I want a set of the wheels.

tower has the part numbers already.

Since i have 90% of the parts for the chassis the one thing i need to know is what size(s) pinion can be used?
Gear ratios?
I saw the 26 to 66 on the web site. Whats the spur/pinion combo for 26:1 and 66:1?
Whats the diff ratio too?
"thumbsup"
