I got my new summit first the steering servos are very hot i mean hot I never felt servos so hot before...what's wrong? Is this how they run?

Also are the summits tires always bad and out of round? I have 2 that seems like they glued them on wrong the side wall is thin not as tall in one spot on these 2 tires and they go up and down like crazy?

Any help will be great

i got my summit used i traded my scx10 for it and my servos get warm but not hot but pretty warm as for the tires it sounds like they were glued wrong i belive if ya call the traxxas help line they can get ya squared away properly and prolly will replace the servos

I adjusted the servos they where set up fighting against each other now they just run warm.

I think this may be a POS it's new and i only used it for like 5 min tops
The rear diff fluid bursted out of the bearing and drive cup on the side of the gear box what the hell now what i have to take it apart and buy new diff fluid and probably a new diff or seal?

Lets see servos set up wrong... tires glued on wrong.... diff blue and fliud is now leaking out!!

This thing is a joke.... I am sick of it already no fun all trouble!!

Don't know why the diff would leak i did not even use it...first charge just testing it and setting things up and i get all this crap!!

Ok i ripped it apart...pitty brand new shame on traxxas.... and i found in the diff behind the bevel gear there is a blue O ring seal like larger ones of the kind traxxas uses in there shocks and it was ripped in half so that explains why the diff fluid blew out!!!

I will get a photo later...But anyone know what the stock diff fluid is that comes in the summit?

Thanks

Did you get it running? Mine is a lemon for sure. Being new to the hobby I did not know what questions to ask. I just found out that my money pit has diff problems, waiting for a friend to show me what is wrong.

Give Traxxas support a call. If it's new, they may be able to just replace whatever parts are busted at little to no cost. If it's used, I'm sure they can still help you out.

I'd have to agree. If you Summit is brand new like to say, you should be talking to Traxxas customer support, not asking for help on here. Thats the beauty of buying something new... you have a warranty. Hope you have already taken this previous advice, but if not maybe this will push you in the right direction. :)

I agree also, traxxas will stand behind their products and should be under warranty if purchased new. I haven't had any of the problems you mentioned with my summit and I have had it for almost a year, and I'm running a brushless setup (mamba monster) no issues.
