The Reventon will be limited to a run of 20, providing adequate reasons to buy for those for whom a simple Murcielago is insufficiently exclusive.
Styled on the LP640, the Reventon is powered by a 650bhp 6.5-litre V12, yet it’s still a road car, in name anyway.
All of the car’s off-the-wall styling are fully functional, says Lambo, with massive air intakes required to cool the beast’s engines and brakes.
An LCD switches between a conventional dial-type display and a graphical version complete with a G-force meter.
Even if you do have a spare mil floating around you’ll be hard pushed to get your hands on a Reventon. All 20 of the cars will be sold to mates of Lambo.
________________
The much anticipated and buzzed model of Lamborghini, "Reventon", was revealed in Frankfurt by the maker Volkswagen Group. The price tag of the Lamborghini Reventon was $1.4 million, making it the most expensive supercar in the world. We say was, because only 20 units of the new Lamborghini Reventon were made and they were all gone before the car was even revealed.
The Lamborghini packs a twelve-cylinder engine which can propel the car from 0 to 100 km/hr (62mph) in just 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 340 km/hr (211 mph). The futuristic design, and inside controls and dash will make you believe you are looking at a fighter jet rather than a street-legal luxury sports car. "The Reventon is the most extreme of them all, a true automotive superlative. Our designers at the Lamborghini Style Center took the technical base of the Murcielago LP640 and compressed and intensified its DNA, its genetic code," said Lamborghini's CEO Stephan Winkelmann.
A press release described the Lamborghini Reventon:
"The Lamborghini Reventon has been entirely designed in Sant'Agata Bolognese, the original birthplace of the Lamborghini and the native home of every super car born under the sign of the bull. Every detail of the projects drawn up in Lamborghini's Centro Stile (Style Center) is fine-tuned in close collaboration with the Lamborghini Technical Department and Development Division. Thus, the Reventon is not only "haute couture" but it also stands out for its elevated dynamism whilst entirely suitable for every day use. The Lamborghini Reventon is not destined to remain a one-off. A total of 20 Lamborghini friends and collectors will be able to own this extraordinary car and, naturally, enjoy the incomparable pleasure of driving it."

theres not any good pics out as of yet.

As far as looks and interior that thing is incredible, but for 1.4 mill it sucks on hp, 0-60, and top speed. If I paid 1.4 mill for the most expensive supercar in the world it sure as heck better be the fastest or dang close to it.

First thing I saw was the funky shadows on the interior and I was like WOW Camo Interior, then saw the rest of the plane.... car I mean and the camo would blend nicely! Someone needs to go back to rounded and sleak not knife's edge and harsh. I like my ladies to have a few curves to , Not a Jagged Biatch

Ehh... its ok. But my all out favorite is Pagani. Ever heard of it? Most probably havent, but the Pagani Zonda is one of the coolest super cars out there. Ever watched the show Top Gear? Well guess what car they got their fastest lap time ever on their test track with... PAGANI ZONDA!!! Oh and their bodies are made of carbon fiber, even those ones with the silver paint that looks like sheet metal... nope, its all carbon fiber. Heres some pictures if you are curious by now-- (sorry dial up users.)

Eat your heart out Lambo and Ferrari fans "thumbsup"

Eh, it looks like a Murcielago that got all "future-ized" for some Sci-Fi movie. I'm especially not diggin' the pointy front end.

And personally I'm not a fan of Pagani's cars either. I recognize thier performance, but I just can't get past thier style.

Give me a Koenigsegg CCX any day 8)

Wow, you scare me. They are like my most favorite car. What!? You say you cant get past the styling, eh?!! Your the devil! Satan I tell ya! Leave! You are banished!!! How dare you insult Pagani!! Be gone with ye!!

if you havent heard of the zonda then youve been living under a rock, the zonda is out dated and old technology. sorry.

this is where its at, the Koenigsegg CCGT, they actually had to de-tune it for racing, they had to remove the two superchargers, add 100kg of weight and air restrict the horsepower to 591 hp. beat that.

Koenigsegg CCX. Favorite Supercar. Also Krawling, the fastest lap time, I'm pretty sure is the little Westfield XTR.

Hmm, odd last time I watched Top Gear (yesterday), it was still the Pagani Zonda who was on top of the list with the fastest time. (Sig drove it of course... that is how you spell their test drivers name/nickname right?)

And the name is Krawlin , not Krawling. lol ;-)"thumbsup"

Ummmm, what ever. And for some reason, I thought most people hadnt heard of it. Oh well. And its not outdated. They are still pumping out new ones (well, about 20 per year I think), but they can still whoop anything out there. It beat the Ferrari's and Lambo's on Top Gear's test track. So there! HA! HAHA! LOL.

see post above, i added pics and specs.
put your girly zonda against a Koenigsegg, street or race version, and see who goes home crying, and gets there lap time ripped of the top.;-)
on a side note 75% of Top gears lap times were done in damp conditions. not a test of a cars balls out performance in my books
