STANG KILLA SS
~THE SCALE SHOP~
damn who dug up this old thread
Hmm, odd last time I watched Top Gear (yesterday), it was still the Pagani Zonda who was on top of the list with the fastest time. (Sig drove it of course... that is how you spell their test drivers name/nickname right?)
And the name is Krawlin , not Krawling. lol ;-)"thumbsup"
Ummmm, what ever. And for some reason, I thought most people hadnt heard of it. Oh well. And its not outdated. They are still pumping out new ones (well, about 20 per year I think), but they can still whoop anything out there. It beat the Ferrari's and Lambo's on Top Gear's test track. So there! HA! HAHA! LOL.
Thats a plane with the wings chopped offOk now your talking purpose built racecars vs "street" cars. Here is something that will smoke the Escudo

Hey Stang, here are some better pics for you of the Reventon. Here is 1 of 20.
you can drop any motor you want into that rx7 as long as it meets the smog laws of the new of the two. like already said above all you need is a few mirrors and light to make any car street legal. crash testing only applies to production vehicles. so it's not that "asinine" to think any of these cars could be street legal.:roll:Most of those custom cars are based on production chassis that have already been crash tested.
If you are such an expert on motor vehicle inspection, tell me how I can legally get away with a V8 swap into an RX7 or 240SX.
I think it is asinine to think that someone would allow a fully built racecar to be driven on the street. It just screams "I want to break every motor vehicle law ever devised." If you build something fast, keep it on the track.
I agree that they have no place on the streets, but that doesnt change the fact that it can be done and someday someone will do it.Like whoodie said, a race car built for a certain purpose in racing dosent belong on the street. I'm sure you could drive it on the street but that's not where it should be.
