"Myopic" A Super Agent XR-10 Build by Crawler Innovations

I have a feeling it's the 8" tires and the spacers between the rod ends and upper link mount. I never had any issues with the link mounts coming loose with just the rod ends bolted up.

it look good, the chassis is not too high?
The Chassis skid sits 4.5 inches off the ground full up travel and sits 2.75 inches full down travel. I personally like the height of the chassis as it side-hills good and still has good ground clearance for ledges.

I like how those axles were built instead of using the delrin tubes option we used to have. may I suggest modifying an axle c or 3d printing caps for where the c hubs used to bolt to on the axle? might be able to be a cheap insurance policy incase those tubes ever decide to twist in the housing. could also make it the full length out to the c hubs if 3d printed.
That's a good idea, but I have no concerns with the axle tubes twisting or lack of strength in axle housing.

I agree but with the rod ends bolted up the geometry sucks and the car drives bad. Just adding spacers changes the geometry and the truck drives lines it wouldn't do without spacers.

what foam setup are you running in this rigs shoes? also, how much does the truck weigh in at?

im building a losi worm based rig and would like to think up some foam setups. comp cut inner front soft outer front. regular inner rear soft outer rear? or should I try out med outer rear comp cut inner?

The foams I am using are Crawler Innovations Super Nova 7.75" Comp Cut Soft Front/ Rear 7.75' Comp Cut Medium. Myopic currently weighs 6 pounds RTR.
I recommend C.I Super Nova Comp Cut Soft Outer Front and a Comp Cut Medium rear.
Thank You

I disassembled the rear axle top and removed the spacers.

I am changing the front servo mount so that I can use Traxxas Big bore shocks attached to the Axle.
What the front axle looked like before.

For the new servo setup I copied the rear axle with a Crawler Innovations Servo guard. I drilled two holes and counter sunk along with boring out the servo guard to fit the servo. I made some 3.5" Traxxas Big Bore shocks with RPM two stage pistons, Pink Mini T springs and Dlux Big Bore Cap. I modified the steering links with the new setup.

I cut the back side of the lugs on these tires.

The Weight of each tire inspired me to sand and groove the tire for weight savings and to make the tire softer.

the steering is not to progressive, don't you think?
sometimes it seems that should be more sensitive

The rear steer sensitivity can be set to any increment wanted. I have mine set to %20. I plan on switching to a twin stick radio to have more precise control with the front and rear steer along with motor speed.
Thank You

grooving takes so much time for 2.2's lol. I bet it took you a few hours on those 8 inch tires.

how much caster does the rear knuckles have?

Yeah I spent about 4 hours on the initial groove and then I drove the tire's and they weren't soft enough and still to heavy to my preference so I grooved the sidewalls and more center lugs this took me about 2 more hours. The finished tire is WAY softer and has way more traction, but the best part is by shaving rubber off shaves weight off. The 4 tire's with foam, rim, and hub weigh 2 pounds  I will post the 2nd grooving to the thread today.

The rear knuckle caster is approximately 7 degrees it isn't clocked back all that much.
Thank You

I took off the aluminum servo mount that was from the last servo mount design.

I took out 4 slugs on each front knuckle. So I am running 10 total slugs instead of 18.

8 oz. Not bad. I think my wheel/tire combo will end up weighing more than yours. Maybe not.

I notice a shock setup change. Just the springs?

Just Firmer springs
Front= Orange Mini T Spring Firm

Back= Brown Mini T Spring Medium
Thank you for the Thread feedback!

front axle out for link top re-tighten and time to gear down Myopic.

I had to grind the C.I. Servo guard / stand to allow clearance for the motor to come forward for a smaller tooth pinion.

From a 17 tooth pinion to a 13 tooth pinion.
