Nice bike.

I tried about 5 months ago to convince the wife to let me get a bike.

With these higher gas prices I'm getting closer...would likely have one if I weren't doing the job hunt thing right now.

Sweet! Those are fun little bikes. My Mom has a 1200 with Screaming Eagle pipes and jet kit. Yes, Mom rides a Harley. She can SMOKE my Dad on his ElectraGlide. :D

Question is: Can you find saddlebags big enough to hold your R/C gear and will the battery handle a charger?

Yes the battery will hold a charger but I have to start it and let it idle for about 5 minutes after each charge :flipoff: .As for packing the txt I take the wheels off and throw it in my big ol back pack.I gots it all figured out and highmark can vouch for the sound of the pipes and how fast it is.

Ya, I'm thinken hard on a cbr 600 rr. This way I can drive my truck every once in a while and not use to much gas. But mainly for the fun. :)

Nice dentist bike, midlife crisis or do you just want to play billy bad ***? Seriously though, it is pretty clean. Wear a real helmet, no matter how much of a dork it makes you look like, playing bad *** with a half head done up in "Loud Pipes Save Lives" stickers and running a head light modulator makes you look like more of a dork.

I just wanted something that would get halfway decent gas mileage and was fun and insurace would be cheap on and this was it a buddy had it and was hurting for money so I got it to help us both out.I have had many many bikes including 2 cbr's a 600 and a 900 a kawasaki ninja 250 and a 600 and a gsxr 600 and this is my first harley and buy far my favorite bike of them and it gets alot more looks and just feels so much better to me than all the crotch rockets I have had and this thing is comfortable to boot not wadded up like on a rocket and just as a bonus I waxed a older cbr 600 today buy almost 4 bikes :flipoff:

lol thats cool... once i get my licence.. i have my permit right now... im going to get my motorcycle licence and drive my dads red VTX 1800 to school  he he 108 hp its such a crazy crusier... 2nd gear 60 mph

Thats neat, I've got a '93 XL1200 with just under 30,000 on it. I cut the baffles out of the stock pipes (not much out there in the way of pipes i like for the older sporties), sounds good, but not loud enough. Mines the anniversary colors (silver main color, red and orange double pinstripe, dark charcoal color in the middle) and its pretty clean, minus the infamous sportster rot (the clearcoat coming off all the aluminum). Its great fun, too bad i need a speedo cable now, i can't tell how fast i'm goin!

im probably gonna get some hate mail here but ef it lol. Dude sportsters are for women!! unless you are a small guy. And are you sure the cbr was trying!! lmao!! if your still reading this i will say that it is a very clean nice looking bike though. ride safely and whatch out for the idiots on the road!!

A 1200 with road king custom bars and forward controls isn't too bad. Tell ya what looks neat though, a sporty with mild apes, a 2" UNDER (yeah UNDER) front end, and chop the rear fender at the end of the struts. Instant bobber.

man i hate you all... jk

i'm looking for a bike now... i like the honda shadow aero.. but it's tough to find a decent one for short money.. the rebel is in my price range, but it's too small for me

i've been trying to find somebody who wants to trade r/c for a bike.. i'll make a killer deal

my 99 ram is killing me on gas, especially since i only drive like 3 miles to work, and come home for lunch.. i'm sitting in traffic all the time

trike.. the ds bikes are too high for me, i sat on a ducatti monster (i thnk that's what it was) and i had to stand on my tip toes, and i'm 6 foot tall... i've has a line on a bmw 600, but i can never get ahold of the woman, but being that it's a beemer, she might want a boatload for it

i really want the shadow.. it has a lower seat height than the rebel, and it fit's me perfectly.. i've sat on the virago 535, yamaha v star 750 (the 100 was awesome), vulcan 800, and a bunch of others, but nothing like the shadow.. and since it's my first street bike (i used to ride off road, so i know how to operate..) i don't want something huge like an 1100.. although i'd kill for a goldwing or 1800 rune.. they're just too big.. and the rebel is too small, a friend of mine has one and she lets me ride it now and then... i feel like mr. incredible all jammed up in his little blue car..

twisted... what do you have and where are you...

if you have a 02 to 05 shadow aero.. we're talking turkey...

depending on the bike's value i'm talking up to 10 r/c cars from my collection which includes:

new era rail (artwork on wheels)

original t-maxx: supermaxx suspension and shocks, NOTHING left plastic.. except gas tank. build cost over 2 grand.. i'll throw in enough parts to probably make 2 more maxx'es

6x6 wild dagger, last of the custom r/c 6 by chassis... 3 stock motors, t-maxx tires, cutom clod puller body.. a project needs finishing

new era fm1e motorcycle... nothing left stock, all crazynut racing carbon fiber and alluminum parts... nicest fm1e around anywhere.. build cost over 1000.00

2 mini t's, was going to do a 2 motor 4wd monster truck.. never finished 1 stock, 1 with super fast motor

2 custom fire trucks, 1 that i gutted the electronics and put in my own.. shoots water.. the other is on a stretched king hauler chassis w/ three speed trans

koyosho concept 30 heli, built off ebay, sweet jr gyro (like 500 new) never flown by me

smarttech aerohawk mini heli... free w/ the big one

ofna dominator, maxx suspension w/ pro line bulkheads.. meant to compete with the gs storm sut on the track

koyosho blizzard electric... both old and new versions

art attack snowmobile

thunder tiger ek-4 all msj hop ups .70 (yup a 70) heli engine.. if u like wheelies, this will do it all day long.. build cost well over 1500

6 channel jr
7 channel fully synthesized (can operate on any 75 mhz frequency) made by polk
many more

chargers:
turbo 30
mrc 959 (purple superbrain i thnk i have 2)
mrc 969 the black one.. very nice charger

i have 2 gateway computer boxes full of tires and wheels
many many misc projects that i've started and never finished

a "for instance" if you have an 04 aero with low milage, book value is like 4500... i'll give you say 6 grand worth of stuff... or like 10 cars if they're not all the high dollar ones.. and if it's a blue/ black shadow with a windshield and saddlebags... i'll add in another 1200 worth of stuff...... you could almost have my whole collection (over 140 r/c cmodels) for a real nice bike

let's deal... and if you're close i'll deliver

bdr

Girls bike eh? how about you drag you pos bike out and lets run em IF you even have one and if not shut your hole sounds like your jelous. The cbr was trying and it was 2 stop lights so I would guess about 1/8 th mile or so.The sportsters are fast off the line but run out of power higher up so in the 1/4 he could get me.I really dont understand the whole sportster is a girls bike thing it really pisses me off when dumbasses say that I am 6 feet tall and around 200 pounds and have plenty of room on the bike without using the forward controls all the time and is has more than enough power for around town and highway cruising. If and when I want to for less than 300 bucks I can make it a 1200 and really kick some crotch rocket but.Twisted that is an open invte to you :flipoff:

Ducati doesnt make a dual sport they make an adventure bike (I think?). Dual sports are things like Honda XL600's which is what I'd recomend, basicly a dirt bike with turn signals and street legal tires.
