I bought a Honcho and I wanted to see how it would preform. Had a great time out of the box but could see room for improvement. I have had the truck now for 5 months... I decided to stick with with the silver green and black color scheme.

First I modified the bumper and tried a few different motor and esc combos. Ended up deciding to stick with the stock ESC and I now use a RC4WD 35 Turn motor. We will have to see how this one does.

I then went to a Spectrum DX4s receiver and transmitter. VERY HAPPY... expensive but pleased.

I then was told about integy... so I went and checked out their website... it was like Christmas and I went on a little shopping spree. Then I decided to get a hold of a nice set of Proline Super Swampers. I know you guys might not like that I went from a 1.9 to a 2.2 tire but I am very happy with it. I was also getting some crazy flex out of the steering so I had to fix that.

I also painted the light covers and cage in the back green

Then I realized my links were flexing so I got aluminum ones off of a friend for free. Couldnt disagree with that price. Nice to have friends to help out.

Here is a shot of the crawler between me and the wifes beetles. Hers is a Traxxas Stampede 4x4 and mine is a slash 2wd vxl.

After all that I was not happy with the suspension so i went to the Proline Scaler 90-110 suspension. Wow they look and perform great. Also order some integy aluminum suspension/body mounts to get rid of the flexing I was having there.

So after all this I have a Axial Honcho

RC4WD 35 Turn motor : 12 Pinion 86 Spur
Axial ESC

Modified Bumper
Modified Cage
Integy Green Light Bar
Integy Aluminum Steering Black
Integy Suspension/Body Mounts Silver
Integy Heavy 2.2 Rims Green
Integy Rock Sliders Green
Integy Frame Guards Silver
Proline Super Swampers
Proline Scale Crawler 90-110mm Suspension

I use 2s Lipo Batteries

Next mod... BEC then possibly the axles

Thanks for checking it out. I will post when I do more.
