Have you tried using some tire glue to hold them to the wheels?

I haven't no when i rebuilt the wheels i ruffed up the inner lips of the rims with sand paper to try and make them bite. I took it for a spin around the woods yesterday and it was ok but i cant try it out on rocks until friday.

The other Axial beadlocks work well....plastic wheel but a metal ring on the outside. Surely you can find some fairly inexpensive.

The PS stock wheels are notorious for letting go of the tire bead. It is what it is.....

I have the axial Rocksters and they grip the tires very well. What are you running for inserts?

I haven't tried the tyre glue no. I took it out again today and the exact same thing happened. Are the Axial Rocksters any good or are they crap aswell as they're plastic? I see quite a few trucks run them and they have an ally bead lock ring? OR should i just fork out the money for a set of decent ally bead locks and foams.

The rocksters have aliminum rings and plastic centers. If you are careful and use hand tools, not power tools, you can feel when the threads are tight. DO NOT have a death grip on the tool. Just enough grip to hold it and turn it. You will feel the resistance build as you tighten it.

I didnt go as i keep pulling the tyres off the bead and didnt want to drive all the way there and keep have that happen.

Ive ordered a set of rocksters and the Axial beadlock rings and also some Pitbull Dos Piezaz. Hopefuly this solves the problem but i have to wait for them to come from America. I'll deffo go to the next one though.

Rocksters come with rings and the hardware you need to mount the tires. Now if you want to change color of the rings...

Right so im patiently waiting for some new aluminum wheels to arrive. In the mean time i fitted my tyres to these g-made items which seem ok even if they were a pain to get seated properly.

Also got a MadSkinz bumper.



Took her out forz a spin around the woods, nothing too challenging then the steering went. Was making a horrible grinding noise. So i took a long walk back to the car and drove home.

Upon inspection i found this in the servo...





Now this has really pissed me off because i paid for a decent servo, ive run about ten battery packs through it. Never crashed it (not that its fast with the 35t in anyway) or put any major strain on the steering. It has a one year warranty that doesnt cover the gears being stripped.

So now its broken AGAIN! Cant believe how much this truck is costing me. So ive just bought a £7 15kg servo of ebay to get it up and running but i wont be buying another Savox thats for sure.

That is what I am afraid of.. this hobby is soo addicting and costs can add up quite easily.. Nice thread btw, it was a fun read.

Flip the gear 180 degrees from where it was installed and re-install. If it's the one I'm thinking of you can get by with it like that for awhile till you replace the servo, had that happen to me with a hi-tec waterproofed servo.

Great thread! You'll find that those Gmade beadlocks work pretty well until you can afford higher-end wheels. They're working well for me.

I really like your old Tamiya Twin Detonator! I've built a Wraith-like IFS project based on that platform. It's fun!

My Wraiths kept killing cheaper servos, in the end I lumped for Hitec 7955's. Cost a bit but they are rock solid and come with full warranties. I have had two other Hitec ones fail and they were replaced by Hitec straight away. (One just died, the other the top case split when I bolted in to a rig.)

Thanks everyone. The G-Mades are surprisingly good although annoyingly the new wheels arrived today but im just going to run these until i slip a bead or they break!

Also the difference with the Dos Piezas is amazing! How ever the stock servo isnt. Fitted it just so i can use it over the bank holiday.
