hi everyone, ive been absent for quit some time but i bought my son and my self MST MTX-1 trucks. i found them from a hobby shop in new york and they were listed as BRUSHLESS kits...well they showed up and of course they are the standard brushed motors. So we are using Venom 5000mah nimh batteries YES I KNOW but we run trucks maybe two months out of the year then they sit while sports/hunting season/ dirt bike seasons are here.
FIRST- the nimh batteries are killing the stock springs, strap in battery and the rear goes right on the bump stops!
SECOND-truck is a little slow with the nimh and run times are HORRIBLE, same battery gets me at least 30-40minutes out of the tamiya king hauler and aeromax. and almost 30minutes out of our original scx10 1.9 scale trucks

SO what lipo should we go with and type of charger? My local hobby shop is a traxxas dealer like most our and hes less than 3 miles from our house OR do i upgrade to a brushless setup....and thats a whole different set of questions from me?

also where do i get hopup parts? in the kit was a booklet with a ton of factory hopups with part numbers id like to get?

Thinking about getting a mt, really like what I saw in the mtx. Have you been having good luck with yours? I don't know if any place to get one right now, out of stock.
I bought a bunch of lipo 2s packs and chargers from hobbypartz.com several years ago when I was into short-course trucks.
Seemed fine for what I was doing.
